The Philippine National Police (PNP), Municipal Engineering Office (MEO), and the Office of the Market Administrator have convened to discuss the traffic scheme to be implemented at the town’s commercial district.

Said traffic scheme aims to ease the business district from traffic congestion in line with Memorandum Circular (MC) No. 2020-145 by the Department of the Interior & Local Government (DILG).

The participants further formulated appropriate measures to resolve heavy traffic especially during busy hours of the week including regulation of tricycles-for-hire on national highways, relocation of legal parking areas/paradas, and other similar strategies.

The rerouting scheme will be scheduled for a dry-run in the coming days.
Driven by its objectives in alleviating traffic congestion, LGU-Camalig conveys its seriousness in the implementation of convenience-centric and public safety interventions.
