Members of the Municipal Road Network & Clearing Task Force (MRNCTF) have convened today as LGU-Camalig prepares for the road-clearing validation by the Department of the Interior & Local Government (DILG).
Discussions mainly delved in the road-clearing components including enactment of relative ordinances, clearing of obstructions and structural encroachments, imposition of convenient traffic routes, designation of proper parking schemes, management of tricycles-for-hire, and relocation of displaced vendors.
LGU-Camalig is currently targeting for a higher compliance rating this 2021 through its intensive conduct of road-clearing programs since the pronouncement of DILG’s directive regarding the resumption of clearing operations in November last year.
As validation nears, LGU-Camalig has been instrumental in implementing sustainable mechanisms and in improving its existing road-clearing operations with the collaborative efforts of the Municipal Engineering Office (MEO), Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Municipal Planning & Development Office (MPDO), DILG, and the Office of the Market Administrator in line with Memorandum Circular (MC) No. 2020-145.
During the first phase of the program, LGU-Camalig scored 87, garnering a “high compliance” rating in the road-clearing validation.
