Barangay functionaries comprised of Council Leaders, Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNSs), and 4Ps Parent Leaders from Brgy. Quinartilan, Cabraran Pequeño, and Binanderahan attended the orientation on the municipal-wide vaccine rollout.

Said orientation focused on vaccine general knowledge and the actual vaccine deployment, citing essential strategies and mechanisms to be carried out once the vaccine becomes available.

In line with LGU-Camalig’s plan of implementing a cluster-based vaccination, the Local Task Force for COVID-19 Vaccine Deployment (LTFCVD) reiterated the crucial role of the barangay functionaries in the facilitation of vaccination efforts within their respective areas of responsibility.

To increase the public’s demand generation, the participants were also instructed to constantly relay health education to the community as part of LTFCVD’s campaign in eliminating vaccine misconceptions and fear.

The LTFCVD through its Communication, Partnership, Advocacy Team is set to implement intensive information drive to establish vital partnerships and linkages with the various sectors in support of the government’s National Vaccination Program.
