LGU-Camalig employees recognize the contributions of Women to the society through wearing of purple-colored clothes in line with the celebration of the National Women’s Month.
With the theme, “Juana Laban sa Pandemya: Kaya!”, this year’s celebration focuses on the essential roles that women play in furthering Camalig’s local development and in ensuring the country’s welfare especially in the time of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
In a memorandum issued last March 2, 2021, all LGU-Camalig employees were directed to wear purple-colored clothes to signify support for women’s empowerment.
In its commitment in empowering every sector of the community, LGU-Camalig seeks to maximize the involvement of women to the locality’s relative plans and programs to inspire better change, promote gender equality, and foster a harmonious community in pursuit of the municipality’s developmental goals.
