The survey team from the Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) of the Department of Environment & Natural Resources (DENR) Regional Office V in coordination with the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction & Management Office (MDRRMO) conducts vulnerability and risk assessment in Brgy. Tinago and Tagaytay, Camalig, Albay.
Said activity aims to make an inventory of elements at risk including population, buildings, and other infrastructures in the town to determine their vulnerability to existing hazards particularly landslides and flood.
After the field assessment, accumulated data will be used for the risk analysis which results will come in the form of maps and technical report and will serve as a reference for the disaster-related plans and programs of LGU-Camalig.
The MGB-DENR survey team is composed of sixteen (16) Geologists and Enumerators – the team is scheduled to conduct vulnerability and risk assessment of the urban and rural barangays in Camalig, Albay from March 2-26, 2021.
