Members of the Municipal Health Emergency Response Team (MHERT) led an orientation meeting with the rehired contact tracers, Mayor’s Office conference room, 3rd flr., Mytalic bldg., Camalig Municipal Hall, Brgy. 2, Poblacion, Camalig, Albay.
The Department of the Interior & Local Government (DILG) rehired Contact Tracers for LGU-Camalig as augmentation to the municipality’s Coronavirus (COVID-19) response and recovery efforts.
Ten (10) out of the previous thirty (30) Contact Tracers were allowed to renew their contracts which will run for at least six (6) months – the initial 3-month contract ended last December 31, 2020.
Apart from rendering contact-tracing functions, the Contact Tracers were also assigned to monitor arriving individuals, familiarize keypoints under Executive Order No. 07-2021, and relay health education regarding vaccine general knowledge to increase the demand generation of the Camaligueño constituency.
A total of eleven (11) contact-tracing 3-cluster catchments covering Camalig’s 50 barangays will also be established to provide convenient working spaces and to serve as coordination points between Contact Tracers and Nurses/Midwives/Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) in their daily operations.
With the gradual relaxing of travel restrictions as directed by the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID), LGU-Camalig sees the redeployment of Contact Tracers as additional leverage in the campaign against the ongoing pandemic.
