The Municipal Health Emergency Response Team (MHERT) immediately carried out interventions to contain further spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) following confirmation by the Department of Health (DOH) regarding the town’s recent positive cases.

The MHERT partnered with the Barangay Health Emergency Response Teams (BHERTs) of Brgy. Ilawod – two (2) close contacts have so far been identified.

As part of the contact-tracing protocols, Case Investigation Forms (CIFs), profiles, and linelist of the close contacts will be sent to the Provincial Health Office (PHO) for swab test approval.

Selected households, thoroughfares, and other areas within the two affected barangays are also set to undergo disinfection to prevent possible transmission of said virus to the community.
