Earlier today, the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction & Management Office (MDRRMO) in partnership with the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Municipal Engineering Office (MEO) conducted assisted evacuation of families.

The team has evacuated a total of 1,788 families or 6,831 persons living in high-risk (flood/lahar/landslide-prone) areas in the town.

LGU-Camalig through MDRRM-CCAMC Advisory No. 2 initially directed concerned offices and partner agencies to conduct localized evacuation and other disaster risk reduction protocols as part of the municipality’s objectives in achieving its zero-casualty goal.

As stated by DOST-PAGASA, “Bising” is forecast to turn northeastward or east northeastward away from the landmass of Luzon by Wednesday.
