LGU-Camalig through the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction & Management Office (MDRRMO) distributes copies of MDRRMC-CCAMC Advisory No. 2 to barangay representatives in line with the local government’s thrust in strengthening community awareness regarding disaster preparedness and response.
The latest advisory was issued earlier today purposely to synchronize the disaster management efforts in all fifty (50) barangays.
Notable provisions under said advisory include continuous typhoon monitoring and execution of appropriate precautionary measures, conduct of localized evacuation, immediate communication and warning to residents, and reiteration of the minimum public health standards set by the Department of Health (DOH).
In pursuit of the municipality’s zero casualty goal, LGU-Camalig eyes to strengthen its disaster preparedness, response, and recovery efforts through the involvement of barangay officials and the entire Camaligueño constituency.
Typhoon “Bising” maintain its strength as it moves over the sea east of Sorsogon and will bring moderate to heavy with at times intense rains over Bicol Region until tomorrow – the entire province of Albay remains under Signal No. 1 as per DOST-PAGASA.
