LGU-Camalig provides rice and food packs to families/close contacts of the town’s confirmed Coronavirus (COVID-19) positive cases.
As one measure in barring possible transmission of COVID-19 to the community, the close contacts are directed to stay isolated for at least fourteen (14) days.
The provision of goods aims to cater the basic needs of the close contacts throughout the quarantining/isolation period.
To ensure strict implementation of prevention and control protocols, the Barangay Health Emergency Response Teams (BHERTs) activated in the 3 affected barangays regularly monitors the close contacts, subject for assessment by the Municipal Health Emergency Response Team (MHERT).
As of April 19, 2021, Camalig, Albay has a total of 38 confirmed COVID-19 cases including 27 recoveries, 3 deaths, and 8 active.
