Driven by their mutual advocacy in bringing financial access/bank services closer to the Camaligueños, the Land Bank of the Philippines and LGU-Camalig spearheaded the blessing and ribbon-cutting of the newly-installed automated teller machine (ATM).
The installation of said ATM brings the total number of functional ATMs in the town to three (3).
With the demand of financial security currently in high volumes in the time of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, LGU-Camalig deems the additional ATM as an essential intervention for the residents wherein travelling to other high-risk areas is being discouraged.
Citing similar benefits, the newly-installed ATM is set to cater beneficiaries under the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) in the withdrawal of quarterly cash assistance.
The event was also participated by Municipal Councilor, Hon. Vicente M. Manlangit III.
The Land Bank ATM is located beside the Municipal Tourism & Cultural Heritage Office (MTCHO), Brgy. 2, Poblacion, Camalig, Albay.
