The Local Task Force for Coronavirus (COVID-19) Vaccine Deployment (LTFCVD) resumes the conduct of the municipal-wide vaccine rollout, Camalig National High School main vaccination center, Brgy. Ilawod, Camalig, Albay.
 
A total of thirty (30) vaccinees are set to receive their second doses of Sinovac and one hundred and ten (110) vaccinees with first doses of AstraZeneca – the vaccinees are comprised of frontliners, senior citizens, indigent residents, and uniformed personnel in compliance with the guidelines set by the Department of Health (DOH).
 
Camalig National High School – the town’s main vaccination center is divided into six (6) sections specifically, the waiting area, registration area, health education and final consent area, vital signs and health assessment/screening area, vaccination area, and post-vaccination monitoring area – the entire vaccination process is expected to take at least an hour per vaccinee.
 
To ensure public health and safety, both staff and vaccinees strictly follow the minimum public health standards.
 
Since the launching of the vaccine rollout in April 16, 2021, the Municipal Health Office (MHO) has been active in coordinating with DOH regarding the provision of vaccine vials in order to augment the municipality’s COVID-19 vaccine inventory for the Camaligueños.
 
The vaccine rollout in Camalig, Albay is expected to cater 45,000 of the targeted population with the end view of achieving herd immunity to finally put an end to the transmission of COVID-19 – four hundred and fifty (450) Camaligueños have so far been inoculated in the town.
 
As of May 14, 2021, the municipality has a total of 61 confirmed COVID-19 cases including 47 recoveries, 5 deaths, and 9 active.
