In consonance with its advocacy in promoting sustainable social services in Camalig, Albay, LGU-Camalig through the Municipal Social Welfare & Development Office (MSWDO) convenes with the Department of Social Welfare & Development (DSWD) in preparation for “Pugay Tagumpay”.

“Pugay Tagumpay” is a graduation ceremony for “Code 26” exiting households which aims to celebrate milestones, and recognize and prepare Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries toward moving out from survival to self-sufficiency.

A total of 4,197 4Ps households in Camalig, Albay have been identified by DSWD – 138 beneficiaries are listed under Code 26 in which 99 households are set to graduate/exit from the 4Ps on May, 19, 2021.

To complement DSWD’s initiatives in ensuring that the beneficiaries are well-prepared and self-sufficient, Camalig Local Chief Executive, Hon. Carlos Irwin G. Baldo, Jr. likewise vowed support by highlighting relative plans and programs including skills training, livelihood provision, medical and educational assistance, and other sustainable interventions.

LGU-Camalig also eyes to allot three hundred and fifty (350) slots for college level scholarship as part of LGU-Camalig’s capacity-building thrusts especially for the poorest of the poor.
