The Department of Social Welfare & Development (DSWD) in cooperation with LGU-Camalig spearheaded the “Pugay Tagumpay 2021”, Salugan covered court, Brgy. Salugan, Camalig, Albay.
Pugay Tagumpay is a graduation ceremony for Code 26 exiting households which aims to celebrate milestones, and recognize and prepare Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries toward moving out from survival to self-sufficiency.
A total of ninety-nine (99) beneficiaries have officially graduated from the 4Ps and were recognized through the awarding of “Sertipiko ng Pagkilala”.
In coordination with the Municipal Social Welfare & Development Office (MSWDO), 4,197 4Ps households in the town have been identified by DSWD – 138 beneficiaries were initially listed under Code 26.
Prior to the graduation, Camalig Local Chief Executive, Hon. Carlos Irwin G. Baldo, Jr. vowed support for the beneficiaries by highlighting relative plans and programs including skills training, livelihood provision, medical and educational assistance, and other sustainable interventions for the poorest of the poor.
LGU-Camalig also eyes to provide financial assistance amounting to Php5,000.00 to selected beneficiaries as startup for livelihood and/or educational endeavors as part of the local government’s drive in promoting welfare improvement and sustainability.
