In response to the increasing cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in Camalig, Albay, the Sanitation Team under the Municipal Health Office (MHO) conducts massive disinfection at quarantine facilities, thoroughfares, selected households, and public and private offices.
This intervention aims to prevent health risks mainly the possible transmission of COVID-19 to the community.
Yesterday, May 29, 2021, the municipality recorded five (5) COVID-19 cases – the highest single-day tally of new positive cases since the outbreak of the virus in early 2020.
The Municipal Health Emergency Response Team (MHERT) has since intensified its thrust against the rising of COVID-19 cases through implementation of stricter and regular prevention and control protocols in the town.
As of May 30, 2021, Camalig, Albay has a total of 81 confirmed COVID-19 cases including 55 recoveries, 7 deaths, and 19 currently active.
