LGU-Camalig through the Municipal Tourism & Cultural Heritage Office (MTCHO) distributes copies of Executive Order No. 21, s. 2021 to tourism-related establishments (restaurants and attractions) located at the town’s commercial district.
Otherwise known as “An Order Implementing the Safety Seal at Selected Private & Public Establishments in the Municipality of Camalig, Albay”, said order was issued to determine and increase compliance of establishments to the minimum health standards such as but not limited to, wearing of face masks and shields, proper hand hygiene, and observance of social/physical distancing.
The COVID-19 Safety Seal will be issued in printed form for free and will be mandatorily displayed conspicuously at all entrance points of establishments, valid for at least six (6) months upon issuance.
To ensure maximum implementation of said protocol, LGU-Camalig by virtue of Executive Order No. 20, s. 2021 created the Inspection and Certification Teams for the COVID-19 Safety Seal Certification Program purposely to inspect, monitor, and determine the eligibility of private and public establishments to receive the Safety Seal Certification.
The teams are comprised of personnel under MTCHO, Department of the Interior & Local Government (DILG), Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Municipal Health Office (MHO), Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction & Management Office (MDRRMO), and the Municipal Engineering Office (MEO).
Recognizing the crucial role of the community in the fight against the ongoing pandemic, the general public is encouraged to report non-compliant establishments to LGU-Camalig as violations may result to temporary suspension of operations.
