In response to the re-emerging threat of Coronavirus (COVID-19) local transmission in Camalig, Albay, the Municipal Health Office (MHO) through its Sanitation Team conducted massive disinfection in all LGU-Camalig offices yesterday, June 9, 2021.
 
The activity was carried out due to recent reports of employees from selected offices who yielded positive Antigen test results.
 
LGU-Camalig through the order of Local Chief Executive, Hon. Carlos Irwin G. Baldo, Jr. closed all its offices at 3 o’clock in the afternoon yesterday to give sufficient time for said disinfection operations.
 
The offices has since been operating with limited employee and client movement as part of the local government’s objective in promoting unhampered and safe delivery of public service amid the pandemic.
 
As of June 10, 2021, the municipality has a total of 110 confirmed COVID-19 cases including 65 recoveries, 8 deaths, and 37 currently active.
