Close contacts of Camalig’s latest confirmed Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases undergo swab tests today at the Camalig Training Center (CTC) screening/holding area for returnees, Brgy. Salugan, Camalig, Albay.
A total of fifteen (15) close contacts are up for swabbing today to ensure containment of possible COVID-19 transmission.
Last June 15, 2021, the municipality recorded another 10 new COVID-19 cases – the highest single-day tally of new positive cases since the outbreak of the virus in early 2020.
The Municipal Health Emergency Response Team (MHERT) has since intensified its thrust against the increasing COVID-19 cases through implementation of stricter prevention and control protocols in the town.
As of July 7, 2021, Camalig, Albay has a total of 175 confirmed COVID-19 cases including 135 recoveries, 12 deaths, and 28 currently active.
