The Department of the Interior & Local Government (DILG) facilitates the presentation of the draft Capacity Development (CapDev) agenda of LGU-Camalig, MDRRMC Operations & Training Center, 2nd flr., Mytalic bldg., Camalig Municipal Hall, Brgy. 2, Poblacion, Camalig, Albay.

Formulated during the training-workshop last June 21 to July 1, 2021, the CapDev agenda aims to capacitate LGU-Camalig heads and functionaries on the concept of capacity development and its importance to accountable, transparent, participatory, and effective local governance.

During the workshop, the participants fast tracked and improved their development agenda for Camalig relative to the local government’s objective in ensuring efficient public service for the Camaligueños through implementation of sustainable economical, environmental, social, and institutional interventions.

The CapDev agenda also seeks to muster the collaborative engagement between the department heads in planning community-centric programs to mitigate the impacts brought by recent disasters and the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

The CapDev Agenda is a roadmap devised to guide LGU-Camalig in implementing interventions to address organizational competency gaps and enhance individual and organizational capacity towards the overall improvement of the local government’s performance in preparation for the implementation of the full devolution of services to the LGUs otherwise known as the “Mandanas Ruling” which will be given light in the upcoming orientation on July 16, 2021, Friday, at the Quituinan Ranch, Brgy. Tinago.
