The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction & Management Office (MDRRMO) spearheaded the “Andam Lahar” information caravan in observance of the National Resilience Month, Salugan covered court, Brgy. Salugan, Camalig, Albay.
 
Discussions mainly delved in the Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction & Management Council (BDRRMC) organizational structure, family preparedness, lahar warning criteria and precautionary measures, the Oplan Tag-Ulan specific action plan, and stringent Coronavirus (COVID-19) prevention and control protocols.
 
The MDRRMO further highlighted various accomplishments under the administration of Camalig Local Chief Executive, Hon. Carlos Irwin G. Baldo, Jr., along with the local government’s ongoing disaster risk reduction and management operations focused toward fostering Camaligueño resiliency.
 
In pursuit of LGU-Camalig’s zero-casualty goal, the information caravan also forms part of MDRRMO’s initiatives in capacitating the community regarding disaster preparedness and response through the conduct of awareness-centric activities.
