The Municipal Health Office (MHO) spearheaded a training for the town’s Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), Black Pepper Resto, Brgy. Salugan, Camalig, Albay.
Participated by a total of one hundred (100) BHWs (2 per barangay), the 3-day training was carried out to improve the capabilities of BHWs in delivering quality health care services to the community.
Said training was also conducted to secure the BHWs’ requirement for accreditation which is set to grant said individuals with various benefits and incentives.
Aiming to instill the importance of practicing and relaying health education especially amid the pandemic, contact-tracing and other Coronavirus (COVID-19) mitigation and containment protocols were also highlighted.
This activity also seeks to sustain one of the mandates under the 12-point Executive Agenda specifically, intensive provision of awareness-centric activities with the end goal of promoting responsive primary health care services for the Camaligueño constituency.
