In its effort in promoting safe local tourism, the Municipal Tourism & Cultural Heritage Office (MTCHO) holds monitoring operations at various business establishments in the town.

Said activity is being carried out to determine and ensure compliance with the minimum public health standards set by the Department of Health (DOH) including social/physical distancing, wearing of face masks/shields, and proper hand hygiene.

Due to the gradual relaxing of guidelines under the Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ), tourism and food establishments are now allowed to accommodate diners provided that staff and guests comply with said Coronavirus (COVID-19) prevention and control protocols.

Frequented by both tourists and locals on a daily basis, LGU-Camalig strongly encourages the general public to cooperate with the local government especially at present time wherein the municipality bears the threat of local transmission.

The monitoring ops are also in line with the continuous implementation of the Safety Seal which aims to increase compliance of private and public facilities with the minimum public health standards pursuant to Executive Order No. 20, s. 2021.
