Residents of Brgy. Palanog have availed 1st doses of Sinovac today as the vaccination team under the Municipal Health Office (MHO) continues to conduct the municipal-wide vaccination rollout.
LGU-Camalig opted to extend vaccine reach to said area as part of the local government’s campaign in maximizing vaccine coverage and in alleviating the burden of distance and travel costs for residents living in far-flung barangays.
A total of one hundred ten (110) individuals in Palanog under the A1 (health worker), A2 (senior citizen), A3 (people with comorbidities), A4 (essential workers), and A5 (indigent population) category were inoculated during the activity.
The vaccination team also started coordinating with catchment areas of other barangays purposely to accelerate the vaccine ops – the MHO eyes to inoculate a total of 50,234 vaccinees in the town.
To date, Camalig, Albay has a total of 460 confirmed COVID-19 cases including 363 recoveries, 25 deaths, and 72 currently active.
