LGU-Camalig continuously strengthens its partnership with the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) through the manifestation of support for the KAISA: Call to action against destructive fire campaign, Mayor’s Office, 3rd flr., Mytallic Bldg., Camalig Municipal Hall, Brgy. 2, Poblacion.
Implemented under the Oplan Ligtas na Pamayanan Program of the BFP, the KAISA aims to promote fire safety awareness and initiatives with the active involvement of government offices, private establishments, and stakeholders from the various sectors in the town.
LGU-Camalig also designated additional roles to the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction & Management Office (MDRRMO) and the Municipal Engineer’s Office (MEO) to further maximize the BFP and LGU-Camalig’s fire safety efforts and personnel productivity.
The two offices are expected to render proper housekeeping practices, provide adequate fire safety information to offices, adopt seasonal fire safety themes published by the BFP, and coordinate with the BFP regarding fire safety seminars and drills.
Aiding to LGU-Camalig’s persistent thrust towards a “leveled-up” municipality, the KAISA campaign is set to complement the objectives of the 12-point Executive Agenda which focus on the promotion of public safety and disaster/crisis preparedness and resilience.
