Following reports of flood incidents particularly at Purok 3 and 4 of Brgy. Tagaytay, the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction & Management Office (MDRRMO) in coordination with Tagaytay Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction & Management Council (BDRRMC) conducted site inspection at said areas.
The intervention was carried out to determine conditions at the affected sites and address structural and environmental gaps with the end goal of ensuring the safety of residents.
Gathered data are set to be relayed to the Municipal Engineering Office (MEO) and the Department of Public Works & Highways (DPWH) which will be the lead implementers of proper and urgent action.
A total of eighty-two (82) families in Brgy. Tagaytay have been affected by the recent flood – the Municipal Social Welfare & Development Office (MSWDO) also handed food packs as an initial gesture of service, reiterating the implementation of intervention priorities in the coming weeks.
The inspection team is scheduled to make rounds at Brgy. Bariw, carrying the objectives of promoting intensive life-saving operations which lean toward sustaining Camalig’s zero-casualty goal.
