The Bureau of Jail Management & Penology (BJMP) handed a plaque of appreciation to Camalig Local Chief Executive, Hon. Carlos Irwin “Caloy” G. Baldo, Jr. today, Mayor’s Office conference room, Brgy. 2, Poblacion.

The token was received in grateful recognition for Mayor Caloy’s contributions to BJMP especially the provision of funds intended for the operational and developmental programs of Camalig District Jail through the Annual Investment Program (AIP).

Camalig District Jail has been an active partner of LGU-Camalig in humane safekeeping and in reintegrating Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) to society through intensive reform programs.

Mayor Caloy has since vowed continuous support to said unit’s intervention priorities to further strengthen LGU-Camalig’s thrust in promoting public safety, and peace and order in the town.
