LGU-Camalig through the Municipal Health Office (MHO) hands 25 sanitary toilets to residents of Brgy. Solong and Quitinday.
The recent endeavor is in line with the local government’s advocacy in promoting household sanitation and hygienic practices in order to achieve the town’s zero open defecation goal.
LGU-Camalig opted to provide its residents access to adequate sanitary facilities as poor sanitation poses various risks to both the community and the environment.
A total of 120 sanitary toilets are set to be distributed to families in Solong, Quitinday, Gotob, Tagoytoy, Bongabong, Mabunga, Taplacon, Del Rosario, Maninila, and Pariaan.
MHO eyes to reach the municipality’s sanitary health coverage to 100% with the goal of putting an end to the fretting practice of open defecation and prevalence of water-borne diseases in the town.
