The Department of the Interior & Local Government (DILG) in partnership with Senator Francis N. Tolentino in partnership led the distribution of disaster risk reduction and management (DRRM) equipment to various municipalities, DILG Regional Office V, Legazpi City.
Conducted in compliance with the Disaster Training & Equipment Assistance Project (DTEAP), the distribution of DRRM equipment seeks to enhance LGU-Camalig’s disaster and emergency response capabilities through the utilization of efficient and up-to-date resources.
The newly-acquired equipment are set to be used by the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction & Management Office (MDRRMO) – the leading local arm of LGU-Camalig in disaster response.
Camalig Local Chief Executive, Hon. Carlos “Caloy” Irwin G. Baldo, Jr. likewise expressed gratitude to Sen. Tolentino and DILG for the said project, highlighting the crucial importance of acquiring the DRRM equipment especially that the town remains aggressive in the maintenance of its zero-casualty goal.
