Batch 8 Scholars of the Tile Setting NC II under the Special Training for Employment Program (STEP) participated in a Training Induction Program, Camalig Training Center (CTC), Brgy. Salugan.
Tile Setting NC II is a short course under the construction-related programs of the Technical Education & Skills Development Authority (TESDA) which seeks to train students in laying and/or repairing floor and wall tiles with the end view of promoting suitable employment and income opportunities.
Covering a hundred and seventeen (117) hours of free competency-based trainings through flexible learning delivery modes, said course is likewise incorporated under the Barangay Assistance and Livelihood Development Opportunities (BALDO) program of LGU-Camalig.
Batch 8 of the Tile Setting NC II course is composed of twenty-five (25) scholars.
In partnership with TESDA Provincial Office, the initiative also forms part of the government’s inclusive strategy towards poverty alleviation and employment promotion.
