Women in Camalig, Albay underwent free health assessment as the Municipal Health Office (MHO) in partnership with the Bicol Regional Training & Teaching Hospital (BRTTH) led a Human Papillomavirus (HPV) testing (cervical cancer screening), Camalig Rural Health Unit (RHU), Brgy. 2, Poblacion.
The one-day activity aims to ensure proper public health treatment through the detection of HPV which may cause various types of cancer.
A total of forty-six (46) women aging 30-49 years old have availed the free screening – OBgyens under BRTTH, Dr. Mary Nyl Tiu Serra-Toledo and Dr. Bernaflor Pielago facilitated the screening.
The conduct of said activity is likewise in line with the mandates under the 12-point executive agenda specifically the intensification of health awareness and health delivery systems for the Camaligueños amid the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
