Bearing the theme, “Kalusugan, Kaisipan, at Kapakanan ng Bawat Bata Ating Tutukan!”, the activity seeks to promote unhampered and holistic learning, highlighting the need of continuously nurturing young learners amid the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
A total of thirty-three (33) elementary schools have received said materials.
The provision of manipulative toys is also in consonance with one of the mandates under the 12-point Executive Agenda specifically responsive and urgent delivery of basic services especially for vulnerable communities.
The activity also highlighted the recitation of the “Panatang Makabata” – an oath of commitment which states the community’s full support to the welfare of children as they are considered future vital partners in nation-building and local development.
By virtue of Republic Act 10661, the MCPC also eyes to conduct a series of programs for children including learning sessions regarding responsible use of social media, cyber safety, children protection laws, and the Juvenile Justice Welfare Act.
