Camalig Command Center (CCC) – an establishment constructed to serve as LGU-Camalig’s nerve center for disaster preparedness, response, and recovery efforts is soon to operate in the town.

This was the main conclusion by Camalig Local Chief Executive, Hon. Carlos “Caloy” Irwin G. Baldo, Jr., the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction & Management Office (MDRRMO), and the Municipal Engineering Office (MEO) following the inspection rendered at said area.

The establishment of the CCC seeks to further promote “leveled-up” public service especially in alert and monitoring, multi-agency and multi-level coordination, resource mobilization, information management, and rescue and emergency transport services.

Set to be operated and staffed on a 24/7 basis, the 3-storey building is expected to feature situation rooms for hazard and incident monitoring, communications and radio room, meeting rooms, administrative offices, warehouses, and other up-to-date and appropriate facilities as per the policy proposals laid out by the MDRRMO.
