The Municipal Health Office (MHO) of Camalig, Albay was hailed as the Best Performing Facility for Measles-Rubella-Tetanus-Diphtheria (MRTD) and Chikiting Bakunation Days (CBD) in the 11th Salud Bikolnon Awards.
Bearing the theme, “Pagkaburunyog para sa Salud nin Kagabsan”, the activity highlights the government’s continuing advocacy in promoting maximized health coverage and intensive coordination especially amid the still-ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Salud Bikolnon is a yearly event spearheaded by the Department of Health Regional Office 5 (DOH ROV) held to give recognition to the exceptional practices in health governance of LGUs.
The MHO team further presented to Camalig Local Chief Executive, Hon. Carlos “Caloy” Irwin G. Baldo, Jr. multiple awards acquired last year including the Provincial Outstanding Municipality in Local Nutrition Program Implementation, Provincial Outstanding Barangay Nutrition Scholar (BNS), Provincial Outstanding Municipal Nutrition Action Officer, Provincial Outstanding Municipal Nutrition Program Coordinator, and the Regional Green Banner Seal of Compliance Award for Nutrition Program.
