Officials, department heads, and functionaries under the LGU-Camalig gathered at the municipal hall grounds on Monday, May 5, 2025, for the traditional flag-raising ceremony, marking the start of the first-ever celebration of Ease of Doing Business (EODB) Month under Presidential Proclamation No. 818, s. 2025.
The proclamation aligns with Republic Act No. 11032, or the “Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018,” which seeks to streamline government processes, reduce bureaucratic red tape, and enhance public service delivery.
Public Information Officer (PIO) Mr. Tim L. Florece emphasized the significance of the month-long observance, urging all offices to establish or sustain their Public Assistance and Complaints Desks (PACDs) with competent personnel. Florece also highlighted the need to update the Citizen’s Charter and provide Client Satisfaction Measurement (CSM) report forms to ensure transparency and efficiency in public service.
“This is a win-win situation for us,” Florece remarked. “On the part of our clients, indi po sinda malalangkag o mababadtrip sa pagparabalikbalik sa mga opisina. They can spend their valuable time on more important matters. On our part, we can exemplify the qualities that civil servants must embody: dedikasyon, propesyonalismo, and a genuine commitment to serve.”
The kick-off event began with a photo opportunity of employees, symbolizing their shared commitment to the initiative, followed by the distribution of Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials to promote awareness of the EODB program.
