The Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO) headed by Municipal Agriculturist, Mr. Dante P. Alejandro, in partnership with the Department of Agriculture (DA) distributed 200 heads of free range chicken to farmer associations including Caguiba Small Water Impounding System Association and Quinuartilan Camalig Farmers and Irrigators Association, Inc.
Said initiative aims to provide additional income and livelihood opportunities to the said beneficiaries, and also to increase the production of poultry which includes meat and egg production.
The distribution further complements LGU-Camalig’s drive toward strengthening food security by enhancing the availability and demand of livestock and poultry products in the town.
