In an effort to improve social and health services at the barangay level, the 2nd phase of the Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan – Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services – National Community-Driven Development Program (KALAHI CIDSS NCDDP) has been set into motion through the Municipal Social Welfare & Development Office (MSWDO)/Municipal Area Coordinator (MAC), Municipal Health Office (MHO), and barangay functionaries.
The team has so far visited 9 barangay health centers purposely to identify specific areas that needs to be improved, along with determining additional necessary equipment and facility renovations, based on the needs of each barangay.
Said initiative also forms part of Camalig Local Chief Executive, Hon. Carlos “Caloy” Irwin G. Baldo, Jr.’s mandate to bolster the capacity of local health facilities at the grassroots, with the end goal of ensuring that residents have access to quality and unhampered healthcare.
