Personnel under the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) convened with LGU-Camalig heads and functionaries to lay out plans under the Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS), which outlines the government’s goal to bolster social protection and welfare initiatives.
The meeting was conducted purposely to establish an innovative mechanism for the secure and efficient exchange of data between cities, municipalities, and national agencies.
This enhanced data sharing is expected to significantly improve the targeting and implementation of various social programs, with the end goal of providing the local community with more tailored and effective public service.
To ensure the smooth functioning of the CBMS, PSA proposed the creation of a Municipal CBMS Coordinating Board, that will function as the leading unit in overseeing the system’s operations, securing logistical requirements, facilitating the release of funds, disseminating maximized information drive, and other tasks.
