Punong Barangays (PBs) and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Chairpersons around Camalig, Albay, attended the orientation for the ‘A College Graduate in Every Family’ program—an advocacy of Albay 2nd District Representative, Congressman, Hon. Joey Sarte Salceda under his ‘Angat ang Lahat’ campaign.

 

Each student beneficiary can benefit from a cash assistance worth Php3, 000.

This educational support is intended only for all first-year college students in town who are enrolled in either public or private universities or institutions and must be currently enrolled in the 2nd semester of the academic year 2023-2024.

 

Mayor Carlos “Caloy” Irwin G. Baldo Jr. expressed his utmost appreciation to Cong. Joey for his initiatives aimed at supporting tertiary students in covering their academic expenses, which he further considered in line with his goal of promoting quality and unhampered education.

Said program is also in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)’s Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program.

 

Furthermore, 28,333 first-year college students in the entire province of Albay are the target beneficiaries of this assistance.
