Through its flagship program, “Revitalized- Pulis sa Barangay” (R-PSB), the Philippine National Police (PNP) has once again demonstrated their dedication to serving and protecting the people of Camalig, Albay by providing government services to its five identified geographically- isolated areas.

R-PSB has provided various welfare services like infrastructure projects, dental and medical services, clean-up drives, health and fitness services, awareness programs, sports development programs, youth engagement efforts, and assistance to agriculture and education sectors to barangays of Caguiba, Maninila, Cotmon, Panoypoy, and Taloto, mainly to support village officials in dealing with service delivery gaps and in ending various forms of anti-government acts.

Camalig Local Chief Executive, Hon. Carlos “Caloy” Irwin G. Baldo Jr., expressed his support in this endeavor, highlighting his urge to develop livelihood programs for local communities and viewing this as a commitment to realizing economic stability especially in susceptible areas.

This also aligns with LGU-Camalig’s strenuous effort to promote a peaceful and conflict-resilient community, considering this endeavor commendable for both the local government and law enforcement.

The R-PSB is mandated under the Executive Order No. 70 or the institutionalizing of the whole-of-nation approach attaining inclusive and sustainable peace to end local communist armed conflict by harmonizing the delivery of basic services and social development packages.
