The Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MADAC) has stepped up its efforts to eradicate the use and proliferation of illegal drugs in Camalig, Albay, by providing useful information, education, and communication (IEC) tools to local communities.
In collaboration with the Camalig Public Information Office, the SAGIP (Society Against Great Influence of Prohibited drugs) poster highlights vital contents regarding the use, effects, and consequences of illegal drugs on individuals, families, and the community.
The SAGIP poster will be disseminated to schools and barangays as an innovative approach to extensively promote drug abuse prevention and control and as a comprehensive strategy to maintain the town’s status as drug-free.
The initiative was discussed during the Joint Meeting of MADAC, Municipal Peace and Order Council (MPOC), and Municipal Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict, where further public awareness efforts of the local government were laid out.
LGU-Camalig, in close partnership with various agencies, advocates a high standard of functionality and effectiveness in implementing initiatives that ensure a peaceful, safe, and drug-free community.
