Good Friday’s holy procession in Camalig featured 39 “pasos” reenacting the significant events leading up to the crucifixion and the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus Christ at Calvary.
 
As a traditional expression of their faith on Good Friday, Camaligueños and other devotees filled the streets of Poblacion to engage in solemn reflection and prayer, contemplating on the profound significance of Jesus’ sacrificial death, which is believed to offer mankind’s redemption.
 
The rituals of Good Friday are more than historical remembrance. Said observances resonate deeply with struggles against oppression and the quest for justice, echoing the sufferings Jesus endured on His path to the cross.
