On Holy Wednesday in Camalig, Albay, a significant number of Catholics, including locals, officials, and churchgoers, gathered to witness a procession of 38 religious statues on beautifully flower-adorned floats, known as “pasos”, proceeding solemnly through the Poblacion areas and ending at St. John the Baptist Parish.

To ensure the safety and well-being of the general public, various LGU-Camalig offices, partner agencies, and church representatives have been mobilized, including those responsible for disaster management, peace and order, fire safety, health, tourism, environmental protection, engineering, and public information.

4 additional “pasos” are set to join the procession on Good Friday, March 29, 2024, expected to draw an even larger crowd and further highlight the Camaligueños’ unwavering tradition, culture, and faith.
