The Municipality of Camalig, Albay has proudly won its third consecutive Green Banner Seal of Compliance award during the 2024 Regional Nutrition Awarding Ceremony held at the Concourse Convention Center in Legazpi City.
 
The recent recognition marked another significant milestone for LGU-Camalig, as it stands out as the sole municipality among the awardees.
 
The award was received by Municipal Nutrition Program Coordinator Mr. Kenneth M. Nolasco, Municipal Health Office (MHO) head Dra. Jennifer N. Lapus, MSPH, Municipal Councilor Hon. Sherwin “Ian” A. Buena, and Nutrition staff Ms. Norie L. Olitan.
 
The Green Banner Award, given by the National Nutrition Council, acknowledges local government units for their effective nutrition and sustainable interventions that have impacted the community’s nutrition status.
 
In addition to this achievement, Nolasco was recognized as a finalist for the Regional Outstanding Municipal Nutrition Program Coordinator award for the third year in a row, further highlighting the town’s dedication to wellness and nutrition initiatives.
