Members of the Local Development Council (LDC) of Camalig recently met at the Negosyo Auditorium, located at the Albay Farmers Bounty Village, Brgy. Cabangan, purposely to discuss new agendas for the following year.
Presided over by Local Chief Executive Hon. Carlos “Caloy” Irwin G. Baldo Jr., the meeting gathered the town’s Municipal Councilors, LGU-Camalig heads and functionaries, Punong Barangays (PBs), and partner organizations.
One of the highlights of the meeting was the reading of the newly formulated economic and social development programs, including the 20% economic development fund reprogramming, which seeks to improve the municipality’s slaughterhouse, updating and validation of FY 2023 Barangay Profile, Barangay Gender and Development (GAD) Budget FY 2025, and the implementation of Electrical Installation Maintenance Training for barangay electricians.
Camalig Training Center (CTC) Coordinator Chyrel San Andres also emphasized the need to update barangay profiles, highlighting their importance as accurate references especially in relief distribution and other government assistance.
