Members of the Camalig Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management – Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation Council (MDRRM-CCAMC) and the Local Development Council (LDC) convened for their 2nd Quarter Full Council Meeting on Monday, April 21, 2025, at the 2nd Floor of the Camalig Command Center (CCC) in Brgy. Salugan.

 

Presided over by Municipal Mayor Hon. Carlos “Caloy” Irwin G. Baldo Jr., the meeting commenced with the approval of the previous meeting’s agendas and the presentation of the council’s 1st Quarter Report. MDRRMO Chief Rommel V. Negrete Jr., PhD, JD, D. Hum, highlighted the 24/7 incident reports from the last quarter and reviewed the situation updates and reports concerning Mayon Volcano.

 

Negrete then presented the 2026-2028 LDRRM-CCAMC Plan, detailing its goals, objectives, key principles, national and local bases, scope of operations, principles and values, general responsibilities, brief historical background, and Thematic Area Plan.

 

Following the approval of the plan, Municipal Local Government Operations Officer (MLGOO) Johanna L. Nuyda, LGOO VI, led a comprehensive discussion on the inclusion of the banking sector in the council’s membership.

 

In conclusion, Negrete presented the council’s final report for the recent Holy Week, emphasizing the successful response framework and the maintenance of public safety, health, and peace and order.
